Puffer In a Reef

I know they are normally a No No but what about If its a SPS only? I use to have one that would eat polyps What exactly will they go after anything fleshy like 99 percent of lps?

What kind of puffer?? I've kept porcupine puffers in my reef tanks in the past that were model citizens then I've tried a myriad of Toby puffers and found that I might as well keep a orange spot file fish because they all love my acro polyps, the bigger dogface puffer variety tend to be ok they just like to have a snail and shrimp for an occasional snack which they need to keep they're teeth worn down but over all I think the larger variety of puffers are ok with out inverts! Such as snails and shrimp

I have a valentini puffer i my reef tank. I haven't had any real issues with him at all. The only thing he does like is when i add new snails me might have a small snack. The other snails he doesn't bother at all. I have never seen him bother any of my corals..
