Or u could get plastic mesh egg crate and get all ur fish except the cb on one side, and put a "divider" wall in the space between ur rocks front to back to segregate them.

Then u can place the masstic by itself on the side the cb is on and observe?

Think I’m going to do a combo plan. 1/2 feed fish frenzy first then stick 1/2 Masstic serving on either end of tank front to confirm visual eating of CBB. In the one location he got his share and hours later still picking there with cpl other fish.
I think much like keep your hands outta tank unless ya really need to I need to get a little less obsessive with CBB eating qty. My CDO a lot like OCD but in correct alphabetical order will make this tough to do.....

I resigned as president of the procrastinators club. I got off my duff and took out all powerheads, heaters, and skimmer for a full out cleaning. Also got 90% of the back glass scraped and changed and cleaned filter socks.

Nice maintenance cleanup. What a difference! The tank resembles nothing from 3 months ago ray.

Hats off to you for sticking with it and the results of your persistence are on full display now! Well done friend. Cant wait till Friday to poke around in person!

@RichtheReefer21 Thanks for the kind words. It’s been a ride for sure had every algae you can find , made a ton of noob mistakes but this family kept me going with pictures of the possible in their tanks and info up the wahzoo!
As far as persistence and a journey gonna give you props and first place. From old school canister hang on back fuge to drilling refilling and adding a sump now as Deadpool would say that’s Maximum Effort. If I didn’t start with it not sure I coulda put in the time effort sweat and endured the anxiety you have to get er done. Look forward to hanging Friday with ya. That reminds me gotta finish one more upgrade before ya get here

Hideho good neighbors @RichtheReefer21 stopped by to check out my tank and give me some tips on photography. Got some good stuff to try out that I had no clue about photo wise and lighting wise. Took the whites down on my program shortened up time they are at 80%. Give this and vodka dosing a chance to finish off the GHA.
Before Rich stopped in played around with a photo editor baseline pics below. Will see how my skills improve over time applying what I learned From Rich today

OMG sphincters are fully clenched and anxiety is at max level. My oldest son sprayed Lysol 3 feet from my tank. I heard the aerosol blast and shouted out so it was a three second blast only pointed down......
I thought everyone in house knew no spraying anything first floor no candles etc but he missed that meeting it seems.
I had salt water getting ready in same room open top so that’s getting tossed and making water for 1/3 WC tomorrow am. Already running carbon. I’ve read the horror stories about contamination from sprays so somewhat FREAKED out.
Keep a good thought for me my friends have come so far the thought of taking any losses now from something like this is too depressing to think about

I dont wanna be that guy, but... I'm sure it will be fine. I windex my tank, smoke in the same room, and use the arm and hammer carpet stuff once a month when I vacuum. Girl burns candles a couple times a week.

Great looking pics Ray. Rich I may need ya to come show me a thing or two. Tank is looking pretty good. Noticeably better since last weekend when I stopped by.

Always good to be prepared Ray. But I would have to agree with Rich, gunna be ok. Aerosol spray may cause some concern, but probably easier on the tank than us sticking our hands into them. Text ya later tonight Ray to set up a time for tomorrow.
