Hi all-

Being a bit of a control nerd, is there anyone out there who has replaced the standard Red Sea return valve with a globe valve or even a ball valve rather than a gate valve??

No need to explain, those of you who respond positively know why I am asking.

If you have, what valve did you use and how did you do it?
Thanks--Larry

I used a ball valve on one tank - found it no better or worse than the RedSea valve - so I replaced it back with a piece from redsea. The redsea valve works Well if periodically cleaned (about every 6-9 months).
