Yes, after all the ups and downs I diluted it a bit more and now I think I’m up to dosing 30 ml per day per each and I’m very stable at Cal-440
Alk-8.3
Mg-1320ish
I’ve also started following Andres Reef Guide for coral coloration.
Po4-trying to stabilize at .04ppm
No3- 0.5ppm

After chasing po4 for so long and dosing phyto feast, I could never achieve .04 ppm, even after taking out almost 90% of my chaeto. I think my skimmer is to blame (testing that theory presently). So, I blew through the phyto feast and decided to give neophos a try. After dosing 2-3 ml and testing a full day later I’m coming up 0ppb on the Hanna Checker. Getting frustrated now so I dosed 3 ml and tested a couple hours later and got 11ppb, the next day I got 0ppb again. So I dosed 3 ml and shut my skimmer off completely today. A couple hours later I’m reading 33ppb, hopefully I’m not overdoing it but my No3 is around 10 ppm. I’m going to leave the skimmer off till tomorrow when I test again.

Not sure if it is the skimmer yet. Tomorrow’s test should tell me. I’ve never monitored po4 on this tank, so idk now that I am maybe it’s taking a while for phosphates to establish themselves in a previously depleted tank. Not sure how it works but that sounded good.

My Hanna checker read 9ppb (.02ppm) some sticks showing signs of RTN and some still showing great PE. I guess my fluctuations in po4 has stressed them, thinking about giving up the dosing to increase po4. Nothing good has come of it.

Great thread! Looks like this tank was quite the adventure. I started reading because I found a great deal on this model tank and am considering picking it up. I am a rookie with a 14 gal biocube that is about 6 months old now. Sounds like you had a really good thread about that also.....off to try and find that one.

Are you monitoring the canopy temperature or the water column temperature with this? I really like your setup.
