Royal Gramma

I have a 13.5 Evo tank. Currently in my tank I have a Red Fin Goby, Clownfish, Pistol Shrimp and a feather duster. So my question is two parts. Can a Royal Gramma be housed in a nano tank like I have. If so can it be housed with what I have in my tank currently and thrive.

I think youre kinda fully stocked. The royal gramma would most likely get agressive in that size of tank also, and cause problems as it ages.

Believe it or not, they do get pretty big. I've seen some that were 3-4 inches. When you first get it, it would probably be fine, but it will outgrow your tank. So if you don't plan on upgrading, you would probably have to find a new home for it.

My Gramma is very large...bigger than my 6 yr old perc clownfish female. It must be at least 4 inches.

Mine is pushing the 4" mark now and I have only had it 8 months.

Great fish. Mine is 4" and I've had for 7 years! Was fully grown when I got it from someone rehoming. Not an aggressive fish but needs more room than 13.5 gallons.

Gramma can be Fiesty but would fit in hoping it has a good disposition

I kept mine in a 29 gallon and it was a little territorial with a watchmen goby. They never got into all that bad, by anytime they where close to each other a stand off would occur. They where both about the same size.

Mine has made it's home burrow under a piece of blue coral skeleton. Lol for some reason the Hippo Tang hangs close to his buddy the Gramma

I have one about four and a half inches in a 65 gallon it is a lovely looking fish and behaves very well.

I would saw your tank seem full with what you have. My experience with royal Gramma was meh. Pretty fish, but it just didn't do it for me.

Disagree totally with this, there is much more to housing fish than size, a Royal Gramma can be very timid when it is first introduced and needs caves to hide in, it then gets extremely protective of its caves and will attack anything that goes near them.

I would say that is the general rule but as we all know there is always exceptions to every rule, but for your size and stock lvl I wouldnt risk it.
