Well it's been 5 months since I set up my 75g tank and it's doing well but I have decided it is already time to go bigger like I should have all along lol..
- Tank: SCA 120G Eurobrace
- Stand: DIY Hardwood stand
Equipment list:
- Sump: Bashsea Smart Series *Not yet released to public*
- Lighting: ATI Sunpower 6x54W 48" W/ Reefbrite 48" XHO
- Skimmer: To be determined as I haven't decided which one I want yet..*Open to suggestions*
- Return Pump: Aquamaxx Magnus DC 1600GPH controllable pump *I may upgrade to the Sicce 2500GPH
- Wavemakers: Still have not decided, going to use cheap Jebaos until I choose. I am leaning towards Tunze Stream 3 or waiting for the new Reef Octopus pumps.
- Refugium 17x18 section of sump.

As fast as your moving up in tanks if you start the stand for your 300 gallon it should be a piece of art 5 months from now!

I like how you plan to hang your lights, still tossing around how to do mine. Might have to borrow that idea. Going to run hydra 26s, still tossing around hanging from the ceiling but I hate the idea of putting holes in it.

I didn’t want to put holes in the ceiling either. This also will allow me to possibly add a shelf or two above the tank or if I ever go back to LEDs I can just hang multiple from a piece of shelving. I’m not 100% certain on how stable the hook in brackets will be but I’m going to find out lol.

Wondering how the plumbing under your tank is working out? Do the 90s on the drain give you any trouble with the Herbie?

I have the Gyre 350’s and like them so far. I’m getting the Bluetooth controller later this week to see if it makes them even better.

Nice setup! I'm in the equipment collection phase of setting up the same tank. I'll be building my own stand as well and was wondering if the drains and return lines had alot of clearance with the rear 2x4 frame. Any photos from under the tank of where the plumbing comes out of the tank? Thanks
