I have it setup on my tank. But I put it on a section away from the wall.

Zoom in to the FMK:

The smaller FMKs on my reactors.

I actually reviewed your build thread because I knew you had the FMK! Only way for me to make it work is extra 45's. Or run the plumbing straight up and use 45's at the top. Hmmm

I'm gonna be redoing my plumbing. I had a mistake that caused me to put in some extra 90s it's really cut down my flow. I also feel like my return pump is two close to the front glass of the sump. I'm also gonna go down to two reactors. I rarely run one at this point, so going to two reactors will give me a bunch of space back.

I can relate. I have the one reactor, I'll be pulling it since it is just holding pond matrix anyway. I am save some money by not getting the FMK kit, I don't need the 1/2" sensors! Just noticed that. Haha

I like the increased visibility it's offering, just need to redo it now that I know what I've done [emoji12]

Just revamped my plumbing... was thinking about the FMK but held out in hopes of a 3/4" fixture... now that's outta the question, I wonder if I'll get the proper reading using the 1" unit with 3/4" bushings. @jasonamyers is that what you did?

I went from 1.25" out of my varioS 8 to 1" until it hits the Red Sea return pipe.

Part R is already installed on the triangle bracket at the bottom. They snap on and off. Threw me off too at first. Your good to go!
I am feeling BEYOND stupid right now. Never occurred to me that it was already installed on something else! It's shown as a separate part --> my brain is looking for a separate part!

THANK YOU! You've saved the poor cat, who was blamed for the mysteriously disappearing part ;) Will start first thing tomorrow morning!

Would the Nyos 120 fit in the sump for the Red Sea Rimless 250? Or too big of a footprint?

For value per dollar, would you recommend that or the IceCap K2-120?

Personally, I like a quiet skimmer... the Nyos product nails it and is one heck of a skimmer at that. So for me, it's worth the extra $120.

I'm definitely tempted...I just don't know if it'll be too big for what my sump ends up being. Trying to collect all the hardware I can now because it'll be quite a planning process. Also, if I get it now I have someone willing to pay for most of it for me because they have Amazon credit, but won't last long. That's why I'm trying to really figure it out now.

Do you have any experience with the Ice Cap and if it's loud at all?

Yea I had him make it custom for me. He made it “backwards” so the bulkheads would be on the right and the return on the left. He also made it a little bit shorter than he normally would so it would fit in the stand but I had him make it as long as possible (had to fit it between the hinges)
