I love how furry the Red Digitata is, and the color of Bam Bams and Utter Chaos.

Hey you!!!!

Thank you. Whew, I know it moved along a tad too fast. Having a cycled nano going before I cycled this tank certainly gave me more room for error. I am perilous aware that it can go south in a Pico quickly.

I am looking at the Auto Aqua Auto water change system. So exciting.

Thank you for stopping by.

:)

You cannot go wrong with the AutoAqua AWC. I have the ATO packed away, and was just looking at the new ATO for RO System. pretty nice if so say so.

I am amazed at the pace of equipment development in 5 yrs. I am equally amazed with regard to the changing husbandry methods. If someone told me I would be intentionally dosing Ammonium Chloride or purposely adding Nitrate and Phosphate I would have never believed it. Thank God for Randy Holmes Farley, he has a way making it all make sense.

Thank God for Randy Holmes Farley
I agree, I have learned so much from Randy over these past years on R2R. As I build my new system I am going to incorporate a few things differently, learning from the R2R community and of course yourself ;)

Liquid carbon dosing was a big thing for me when the bow front crashed.

I thought I had the latest and greatest equipment when I broke down the bow front. I guess I am going to have to go a do some research. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

On the Zoanthid front. Beginning to get these green tuff algae spots on a couple Zoanthid frags. The Zoanthids don't like it, so I am going to pull the frags and remove the algae. What I need to do is get more of a cuc, one certh is not going to cut it.
20250327_074506.jpg

Gatorade Zoanthid might have to go on a rock island. Their growth is phenomenal, in 2 weeks there are 9 new polyps.
20250327_074420.jpg

Clams continue to do well. Lighting at 50% works for them. Other corals are adapting.
20250327_074343.jpg

Nitrates are still a challenge, values between 2-10, still dosing NeoNitro.
Alk and Cal shot up from using AFR in top off container. I am going back to manual dosing.

Hopefully a few new corals within 2 weeks.

That maxima is going be stunning I think when it grows in. Also, nice colors in the greens blues and purples in that S tapetum next to the Hippo.

Thanks! I sure hope so.

I was slightly concerned how the the Hippos would respond to its proximity to the S. Tapetum.

The Hydrogen Peroxide bath worked well. Algae is gone and Zoanthids opened the same day.
I ordered two old school Acrpora, ORA Hawkins and ORA Joe the Coral. Scrambled Egg Zoanthids were 5.00 frags from Cultivated Reef so I picked up those as well.

This 24k Lepto is just a stunning coral. I have never see such a yellow coral.

Out of all the corals I have owned this one gave me pause because I has no idea what to expect care wise.

Chemistry continues to be stable with AFR. I am still dosing NeoNitro and Microbactor7 with Roids sparingly.

No fish.

Maxima getting a 30 min FW bath secondary to PMD. You can see a lot of new shells growth. Both clams responded well to treatment.
20250413_073408.jpg

One of the Maxi-mini Anemones is getting some very nice coloration.

The Acrpora are showing PE, that's what I love about Acrpora.

In the coming weeks I hope to acquire a new ATI Sunpower 24 inch 6 bulb fixture. That will be a game changer. Next will be the IM 25 lagoon, or the IM 20.

Easter colors!!!
Tank is doing well. Expecting 2 types of Birdsnest next week. The tank will be 3 months on the 22nd.
Dosing AFR during the day, kalk at night. Ammonium dispersed through out the day. NeoNitro and Microbactor7 daily. Parts A and K weekly. Roids or Restor every other day.

Just trying to get some growth perspective. Over a months growth. Not too happy about it. Got to figure out what I am doing wrong.

Any growth is good. Some corals take a long time. Others are a plague lol. Looks great.
Thank you Ben. :)

Well I purchased a Crocea from Clam Mania, not to fret though, the clams will have an IM 25 gallon lagoon in July or August. Back orders build patience.

Everything is doing well. My only problem child is the Hawkins. It's pale because of too much light and too little nutrients. I really don't like to move corals but I am left with no choice.
