They are AV cabinet fans for the electronics cabinet I am building on the back of the system. I want 1 plug going out of the system to power everything.

The cabinet will be packed with electronics and need to monitor the temp and have auto cooling solution.

I am working on it now.. Seems to all work quite well.

They are actually not that bad.

Thanks for the link!

Surprisingly, much less than I thought!

Now, I need a white one for use in my stand...

Progress.

I wanted one power cord for the whole system and I think it has worked out quite well.

So now I wanted a way to plug things into the system temporarily if needed. I decided to add a bank of plugs. I also needed to add the fans and fan controller. The cabinet will have quite a few electronics inside and I do not need them running hot.

Cutting down and custom making cords will be needed to keep everything fitted as possible.

Now starts the long process of adding all of the nero 5s.

Also need to add the ATO.

Test run...

Ugh... so much stuff.

I am legitimately excited about using the sk-3000. Some products are just great ideas.
I picked one up. I need to place it in the fuge (1st chamber) so I may need to make a sleve w/vents at the bottom for water to escape. Waiting on you to see

Hey, awesome build! Did you cut the cords on the two power strips and solder them directly to that PC power plug thing? Thats a pretty great idea to have one plug for everything!

Once the electronic side is done I am moving to the Sump/Plumbing. Then there will be a light at then end of the tunnel lol

Yes, I removed the plug end to a decent power bar and attached it to the PC plug. From there I have cut every wire to make it fit including the Ekoral and so on. The one plug approach is going to be sweet when I am installing this tank at my home. Also looks so much cleaner.

LEDs all work and fixed issues with the legs not lighting the way I want. Had to fix a few design issues with the braded cables and so on.

From this

Switched the cords out from this

to these.

Looked better overall , The plug heads on the braided cables were the wrong size for the project.

RGB FTW.

I am happy how it turned out.

Will it blend?

I think the back is going to stay clear..

Great looking electrical box. But with so many stuff powered by a single outlet, is there a risk of overloading the socket/outlet or the main powerboard?

Yes absolutely. I had to add everything up and make sure it would work. It seems like a lot of gear but in the end nothing pulls much other then the heater. I will not be running anything maxed out.

Thanks for the cabinet inspirations, I’ve ordered the fans you are using since my bricks will be in a sealed cabinet. I also ordered the low profile 3’ extension cords you showed as I can’t stand all the different plugs into my EB 832 so 8 of the same plug running down to where my bricks are will look a lot cleaner. The final thing I’m considering is the pc cord you went with I have a ADJ 8 switched plug outlet in my box and I think I will cut the plug off and wire it the way you did. I may see if there is an option for a screw down type connection so there is no chance of knocking the plug out accidentally but that may just be overkill.

The last thing I need to figure out is how I want to run the wires from may cabinet (it will hang on the wall next to my tank) to my tank and keep them neat. The big issue is things like vortechs that don’t give an option for threading the wire through a small opening without taking it apart.

Thanks for the ideas

Any time! I am happy you can get ideas and use things I have done.

For the MP pumps from vortech they are kinda hard to thread. If you wait a little bit I will be cutting a MP10 quite drive apart soon to fix this issue. This will be for another build that will be starting soon.

I think the dry side just plugs into the control board so I may be able to open the controller unplug it route it into my box then plug it back into the control board and put the case back on. I want to look at the plug as well since I may need a little more length so I may need to make an extension for them
