I can never understand how people can be bored. Being board means your lazy unless you are so infirm you can't do anything.
Am a retired carpenter...supposably as there is no such thing. There is always something to do or build if not for me then for friends or family.
I have a car with a distributor and rear drum brakes. I serviced the brakes a few months back. Am not so good at lying on my back under cars these days so when I take it for the yearly MOT ( in the UK most cars have to have a stringent test to ensure its roadworthy) I get the tester to do an oil and filter change.
Most other things I do myself. I have rebuilt engines in the past, overhauled cylinderheads etc. Somethings aren't worth tacking yourself esp if you know you will pay for it later.
I have 2 cars. A Skoda Octavia estate as my daily which is modern and my JBA Falcon which is a much more interesting car. I call it a handbuilt bespoke car, others call it a kit car. I didn't build it myself but I have improved it. It would cost a lot to build and a lot less to buy and improve secondhand which is what I did.
Here is my JBA Falcon. I will be out in it soon taking it to a classic car meet near me.

Beautiful cars you guys have there. I own 2 Jeeps but I would love a Model "A" Ford
1930-ford-model-a-coupe.jpg

This is a little newer one at 1930.
I can buy one as is or a rebuilt one, but since I live next to the sea, it needs to be kept indoors. I only have one garage and two cars. If I had access to a garage really close to my house, I would get one. I know someone here who has a few Model Ts and Model "A"s.

You really can't drive a Model T around the streets because, first of all, you have to crank them to start, and I am having another replacement shoulder very soon, and besides that, they only go 42MPH, and that is pushing it.
Those 112 year old engines could probably only go about 25MPH. 😬

I love those old trucks. We have quite a few around here and they put on a classic car show every wednesday.
Atoll, those cars all look like foreign cars to me. 😀
But beautiful.
Lubeck, Love that Chevy. I grew up with those cars. 😁

All nationalities even the odd US gas guzzling car now and again. There must have been around 10 MGBs there last night. No US cars though.

I'm a Jeep guy are always was.

This 1960 Willys Jeep made me enough money to put a down payment on my house in 1978 from snow plowing. 😁

I know this is supposed to be about fish so I better write something about fish before I get banned. 😬

My tank seems to be doing very well. All the fish are doing what they are supposed to do. I finally eliminated all the invasive sponge, diatoms, and algae. I don't have much time to actually work on the tank

In about three weeks, I will be undergoing a new right shoulder surgery, so I will be out of commission for a few weeks. As a result, I will need to hire a ghostwriter. 🤓 I will see if Hemingway is free.
FTS with 8 fish showing.jpg

All that red algae is gone, it only lasted a few days but all the codium is still there. There is a lot more codium than in this picture as I pick the stuff up all the time. It won't live forever but it looks great for a few months.

All my cooler corals were decimated while removing the invasive sponges.

I try to feed the tank twice a day because that long nose butterfly is very young and can only eat the tiniest food so I want to make sure he gets enough. But he will eat all the live worms he can get. 😆

OK ok,back to fish..I have just reserved 4 ghost/blue eye/threadfin etc etc cardinal fish to go with the 7 I already have. The more of these fish you have the better but they aren't cheap here in the UK in fact the cost of marine fish has **** up.in recent times here.
Here's my current 7

I think I could get them for about 8 bucks here. Very cheap and common fish. I could probably get one or two for free with a cup of coffee. 😎

Many have Lucas electric rightly named "the prince of darkness" on our shores hahaha.! I rebuilt a TR 6 once...it only took once to remind myself never to own one hahaha. The main bearings were secured with wood drifts and required recommendations of replacement every 50,000 miles. Engine was from a farm tractor if I remember the history of the TR 6 development. The suspension was another bit as well with cantilevered shocks or some such nonsense.

At least your car has the Iron Duke from the Pinto as an engine. Many race cars ran that motor in Formula Atlantic series.

Course my memory is old enough that I might have mixed up lots of "Facts".

£26 each which is about $25 US. OUCH!
I think you should write to your King. Maybe he could sell a few of those emeralds on his crown to help you out. 😬

He's a very tight fisted person. What he has stays with him. I do pay him quite a lot out of my taxes but he won't listen to commoners like me.

I am shocked I tell you just shocked that the King does not consult with you. The world might be a better place if he did on a daily basis. Carry on good sir!

He won't listen only to that rouge Starmer who is he'll bent on ruining the UK. Trump told him how to turn it round but he's on a mission against the will of the people.

So I finally found some people who like to eat Porgies and invited them over. I didn't think they would all agree to come so I have a lot of cooking to do. I have about 140 Porgies, (which means 280 fillets) so I won't run out of fish. I have 7 "guests" coming over so I made olive oil and rosemary bread along with Borchetta. I grew the tomatoes, basil and parsley. 😁

I have to get cooking with these Porgy fillets. Maybe I will even save some for my fish
