If anyone wants a Halichoeres chrysus, LiveAquaria has one for sale in the Diver's Den!

Only problem is it's actually a leucoxanthus. Still a great fish!

That's not the only problem.

True. There's lots of problems but it seems like misidentification (especially if wrasses) is very common with a lot of vendors.

If only gold nuggets really looked like that. I've seen a bunch cause they're fairly common in australia and they've all just looked like big brownish leopards to me.
Yeah, this is a stock photo. They're most likely females at this store. I'm not buying one but maybe @felda001 will!

I'm not currently buying anything. Maybe when the big tank is finally running

I’ve seen males in person - females are meh but a male is truly identical to that photo.
My female started to transition before she vanished (I presume I lost her as it’s been months since this - I lost her either just after or during prazi dosing).
Genuinely that is a fish I would recommend if you can source them easily, they are stunners and one that has a subtle beauty when transitioning yet is very obvious when mature.

I need more photos of my exquisitus… my tank looks like a mess currently as I destroyed the central rockscape to get to an Acro frag that went straight down the back.

Can’t express enough about this batch of Hemi’s at TSM. All looked amazing after unboxing and still doing great. They all come over to glass wiggling for food as you walk by. Little camera shy but for a hemi seeing a scary camera for first time they did great. Shipping young helped Josh’s dedication to acclimate them to captivity and meds show in this batch. Wish I could house them in my tank. The love TSM has for the life and health of a fish keeps me motivated. Seeing they have amazing shipment without losses because of proper conditioned fish blows me away. They have I believe a 99 percent arrive alive I think. They can’t control everything after leaving but prepaid fish for the worst in shipping.

Coris dorsamacula
@Slocke @TARHEEL78
No, it's not C.dorsomacula.

First of all C.dorsomacula doesn't have the elongated dorsal filament that we see in the photos. C.dorsomacula is also a slightly different shape, it's hard to explain, but they look a little more slender and streamlined. The pattern is also wrong. On C.dorsomacula, the central brown stripe is broken up by stripes which are lighter than the base colour of the fish, and these stripes also extend to the dorsal fin in C.dorsomacula. In the pictured fish, there are no paler stripes visible.
That begs the question of what actually is it though.
The closest i could find were the juvenile-female transitioning phases of 2 australian endemic species, Coris sandeyeri (Eastern king wrasse) and Coris auricularis (Western king wrasse). These look close, but neither species has a dorsal filament. I can't find any other Coris species, or even wrasses from the tribe Julidini that match.
