Tilefish goes without food…

I picked up a blue jaw tilefish last Friday. He went since without food. After visiting the store where I got him, asking for advice, I tried a mix of R.O.E and calanus. Well…he’s finally eating!

Is there anything in particular I should do to help nurse this guy along. Who knows how long it has been since he last ate, and I don’t want to shock his system.

Honestly, little and often - tiles need feeding 2-3 times a day IME. Their metabolism is rapid, their feedings need to be almost constant and heavily nutritional. I feed frozen of everything;
Brineshrimp
Mysis shrimp
Bloodworm
Copepods
Rotifers
There’s more I just can’t remember it (I do a huge mix once a month of all the foods I can get so it varies almost monthly with those being the base).
