I've been reading about tunze return pumps for a few month now and found them to be interesting so I pulled the trigger. So far it's the best return pump I have ever owned. I can adjust the pump flow from 230 gph to 900 gph. Its also low energy consumtion it uses 24 to 40 watts. I can't even hear this thing running. I had to walk up to the tank twice to make sure the tank was running.

I ran one on my 50G and 75G and it was dead silent as well. I did upgrade to an eheim for more flow though. Also silent.

I'm running mine on a 70 gallon cube. With a 30 gallon gravity frag tank. I use power heads for flow. 2x6045 & 2x6055. Keeps the barebottom clean

I have been running them for over a year one on my 65 gallon shallow tank and now on my new 150 gallon tank. Best return pump that I have used. They are super quiet and really easy to take apart and clean

this is the pump im getting for my new tank.i have owned an older tunze return and it was great and ive een these new ones in action and they are dead silent, you just cant go wrong with any tunze product, plus Roger will always take care of ANY issues you might have.

I have used one for a while, I have thought about upgrading to the one with variable output

Update. This pump is amazing and it by far the best return pump I ever bought. You can hear it at all and when u dial it up you still can't hear it I'm running it at 650 gph right now.

I've had my 1073.04 running for about 2 years now. It's great. I briefly tried an Eheim 1260. The Eheim pushed a little more water but at nearly twice the wattage with no difference in noise so I went right back to the Tunze.
