I agree with the guys. Tlc the stand. Too nice of a tank to overlook the stand! Don't make us come "help" you do it! You know we eat a lot.

Fyi black leather dye works well to touch up the edges (kiwi shoe polish) if you seriously don't want to repaint it. The hinges do have to go. :)

I know, I know...I did notice the reflection on the side of the stand. Not sure it could be stripped easily. He's looking at a couple hundred for a new build.

Alright. Made a trip to Lowe's and to Sherwin Williams. New pocket hinges and more disks for my sander from Lowe's, new paint and they were kind enough to tint my primer i already had gray for no charge. Gray primer means fewer coats of paint.

Oh, paint... I bet you're wondering what color I'm painting the stand.

You thought I was going pick a color other than deep blue? Silly....
