Turtle's Fairy Tale

I don't post on mine anymore. After the rant when I got an excellence award. I have a 29 now. The 8 gallon was fun. I actually miss that tank. I have a very simple set up and lower end Coral. Not like you guys at all.

I think a new start/new thread is in order! That 8g build thread much like Turtles Fairy Tale is what this place should be... Learning, laughing and sharing make some pretty great ingredients!

Charleston Reefers get together at Joe Knows Reefs today. Lots of people here, sales for people who showed up, food... fun time.

Also, I did a thing... poor picture but hes very active. I'm thinking either P mccoskeri or carpenteri. It's a transitional phase tho, around 2 1/4" long.

Joe knows coral, but Joe sells fish! :p

Store display tank. Acros, montis, chalice, pectinia, zoas, acans. Beautiful tank.

Our LFS has a wonderful DT. Their coral selection for sale is normally lacking. They almost never have wrasses.

QT tank cleaned out, vinegared and set back up. Cycled sponge filter and bio media sponge in power filter. Preset 100W heater. PVC elbows and pipe for cover. Fish is stressed from the ride home. Showing night time colors. I'll wait until tomorrow to make sure fish is eating(was active in store and eating) and begin treatment with API General Cure. I saw another fish(Scatophagus argus) in the system with some white stringy feces. With how susceptible wrasse are to flukes and intestinal parasites, he gets treated before going in the display even tho he looks healthy.

Oh, yea... another glass of salty caramel mysteriously filled itself with whiskey and marble cubes. Guess I have only one option at this point.

I hope you each had one! :p

It isn't nice to not share.o_O

QT update. I've started treatment with General Cure. Fish is still stressed, still hangs out on the bottom but I did see it eat just a little. First dose was one packet dissolved in QT water and poured into QT tank. 48 hours later I'll do second dose, then 48 hours after that is a 25% water change. After that, I'll decide if he goes to the display, or need further observation.
