Forgot to mention......

Love the stand! Wish an all wood was an option when I got mine a few years ago. Instead I got the crappy MDF one and it's already starting to fall apart from getting wet a few times.

Just read this entire thread(yes all 117 pages!), very nice tank!

I'll now be following as I just got into SPS myself, and have the SCA 80G cube(just 4 inches shorter then your 90). We basically have the same system with the exception of I got their PNP system with their sump, although I cut it apart and remade it to fit my needs.
Yoda would be proud of your patience... or, proud of your patience, Yoda would be.

I can't even go back thru and read that much. Welcome aboard, hopefully we can keep this tank stable enough for some SPS. So far, the green slimmer is still bright and neon green with full polyp extension. I need to move it to the rock soon.

Robin, been watching the storm. If you guys need it, you are welcome here!
Thank you for the offer, but I have to be at work at 1800 on Thursday. I'll have tow chains and chainsaw loaded in the truck and leave early... I'm not expecting it to be too bad up here. Charleston is supposed to get pummeled tho. Most of the people in the reefing group are staying. Locals dont evacuate, it's all the yankee transplants you see flying up I26 in a panic.

Leaving for the beach house with Dad at 0700 tomorrow... yay hurricane prep. I figured he would have had that done this weekend...

Alk is 8.3, and flat as a pancake for September. :p

Already showing growth on the purple polyp birds nest. Check out all the white dots, those are about to be new branches!

Got to Cherry Grove, SC about 11:30, high tide was 1ish... house boarded, stuff under secure... not much else we can do.

You can see the high tide water mark on the side of the ramp, the storm surge is supposed to hit at high tide tomorrow, and they are calling for 4-7' last we checked.

Rain hit before we got done, outer bands are already over us. 20ish hours until the bad stuff hits.

You got one from the sale I sent @Scurvy ??

LOVE IT ! ! !
Yep, he passed it along to me. All it said was "male under 3 inches." I was expecting a 2-2½" sub male, not a 3½" supermale...

Update on Hurricane Dorian... so far so good here. Just rain and wind. I've seen worse out of a thunderstorm. The coast is getting hit harder. Few of the people in the Charleston group are out of power. My Dad's beach house is fine still. It's almost on the SC/NC border, can't really go too much further on the SC coast. Water got to the very top of the ramp but not into the yard around high tide. Still had power as of 2:00, Mom was checking the security cameras online.

Finally got my ATI potassium additive in. I dosed 5.36ml per instructions from ATI ICP results. I have to do that for 8 days, including today. It comes in a 2000ml bottle, or the same size as the Essentials Pro, complete 2 part. I should have enough potassium for a while.

So, y'all let the glass go and dont scrape it when you're on night shift, right? Oh, you dont work night shift... well, then umm... glass is dirty, but the tank is looking good.

The newest batch of SPS is still doing well. The birds nest is growing very fast, as expected. The colors look a bit washed innthe close ups, but that is just the camera. They are still vibrant.

Alk was 8.1 today, I adjusted dose to 5ml a day, up from 4.4ml to level it off. I'll check again in a few days to make sure were are stable.
