Well all i need it for is just to go from the display to the sink.

Plus the display to sink is only like 20ft so it's a short distance

Yes . short answer

Just make sure you designate the equipment for display tank only so it does not bring contaniments into your display tank. Keep it clean

Not sure that pump is suitable. From page 5 of questions/answers

Question:
Need a continuously running (7 hr per day - every day), rust proof, submersible pump for salt chlorine pool. Will this work?
Answer:
Hi there,
No this will NOT WORK.
These are not designed for salt water and none of our pumps are rated for 24/7 running. … see more

I see nothing wrong with the pump you originally linked. Just keep in mind the head max is not enough for going up a floor.

a simple siphon will work as long as the tank is higher than the sink

That is a pretty large pump for a simple water change. I have a brute can on wheels that I drain my tanks into then wheel it to the sink and pump the water out and down the drain. That pump says it moves 37g per minute at max rate. How big is your tank? Do you really need to drain it that fast?

OK, question here.. How big of a tank are we talking? 37GPM will drain most tanks to the sand in less than 5 mins.
