Water clarity

Hey guys I was just wandering how some of you get your water crystal clear. I always have a bunch of tiny particles floating around.

What type of filtration/system do you have? I had a similar issue and it was remedied with more flow (tank turnover) I also added a UV sterilizer that helped a bit.

A small amount of activated carbon.

I use floss (like a sponge) at the point my water enters my sump - similar to the principle of using a filter sock - it helps to pull out some particles. I also use activated carbon

I use chemi pure blue, and a UV sterilizer

I don't use anything but normal skimmer and a small canister filter. Canister filter contains blue bonded filter and a giant sponge.

Right now using a aquapro sump i have a filter pad and filter floss currently then it goes through my rock then my protien skimmer.

I second the activated carbon. As for the flow, not necessarily. If you know the rate of turn over of your tank try to increase it so that more water passes through your mechanical filtration. For me it was as easy as that.
