I have seen a few hitchhiking worms and a small starfish... but this guy was found moving a rock. No idea how long he has been with us and no idea what he is. The guy at the base of the plug - any idea? I'd like to know if safe and research him if so...

It's hard to get a good picture because he's practically clear and keeps moving... and I'm just learning to get pictures so part of the problem is behind the camera Thanks in advance!!

Hard to tell with the blue lights, but it looks like aiptasia or a majano. Either way, get rid of it. Remove the frag and dab some super glue gel over it.

I turned the white lights on, not sure it makes a difference? And do you mean to actually put glue on him?

Yup aptasia
Wasn't positive it wasn't a majano with the size. Anyway... OP you can either cover with superglue, or mix kalk to a paste and inject into mouth, use aiptasia X, I even hear lemon juice injected into mouth can work. Make sure what ever you do it's outside of your tank. They can release more when distressed and spread quickly.

Just to check, the glue is ok on the side of the blastomussa? I don't want to hurt the one he is on

Once you remove the frag the aiptasia will shrink down to much smaller than it is now. They're an anemone and can inflate/deflate. Any glue in the area will still be a better situation than the aiptasia.

Its aptasia. Keep removal simple:
Using syringe, inject either lemon juice or better yet. . kalkwasser powder mixed with tank water into a paste the consistency of toothpaste and inject into the very center core and it will melt away

just to add on to everyone else..... It is aptasia, and they are nasty little buggers. When you dispose of it, regardless of how, make sure you do out side of your tank. When they feel extremely threatened or that they are going to die, they will release hundred of eggs in stream out of their mouth... You do not want that.

I usually just inject em with boiling hot freshwater and cook em from the inside out.

I was debating that too... I have a skunk and tiger pistol shrimp already... from what I've been able to find, I should be safe so long as I get the right peppermint shrimp (Lysmata wurdemanni).
The real peppermint will definitely manage the small ones and keep them mowed down. If you have really large aiptasia remove with kalk or glue. My living room tank has been aiptasia free for a couple years. My shrimp disappeared and a month later I noticed a few. Got a new shrimp and they're gone again. ... Till next time. Lol
