What is this? Tracey’s don’t eat crabs do they? I dipped it upon receipt. That was two days ago. Should I redip?

I would say that perhaps a molt landed on it, its also possible that the crab was dead and landed on it. I don't think it needs a dip, but I would grab tweezers and gently try to pull it out, but don't force it.

I tried that and it resisted. I wonder if it is a gall crab. Opinion seems split on removing them

It was a crab carcass. Apparently one of my Pom-pom crabs died near the Trachy and it tried to eat it I guess.

It expelled it out.
