I know fish can do well long term at 1.020 and my current tank is at 1.024 but what is the range that sps corals do best at like if it drops to 1.023 or 1.022 is there a problem for example?

Sps like stability imo.
If you are having regular fluctuations of .01 salinity you are not going to be able to maintain any other parameters within a suitable variation range that will thrive in.

Not regular but every couple of weeks it seems to reset and dip down one or back up one it isnt daily or weekly more like monthly at best but will this be a problem can sps live long term at 1.023?

What are you using to check the salinity? Is it possible that the test is inaccurate?

You can add some salt water to your ato to slowly raise salinity back up to desired levels.

Both a refractometer and a digital one so i can cross reference them

I don’t trust any salinity meter I have had a couple break over time. So I buy a 1.026 solution in a bottle and I use that first to check my meter and then I test the water to see if they match up. Solutions are cheap, and this is an easy way to get more accuracy.
