I just got a platinum clown yesterday to pair with one of my clowns, I was looking to buy a platinum even though i love White Wyomings because i thought percula would pair up better with another percula as my attempt at pairing a percula and a ocellaris went a bit meh.

The male did the shake but the female always ignored it and while they don’t beat up eachother up they never paired up either.

well i ordered a platinum online and im not sure how to differentiate WW with plats. When compared to the eyes of my percula it is much darker and this guy is tiny but already has a lot of black. But is also not that orange so that makes me think it’s a percula?

Thats what i thought too. Will percula eyes get lighter as they age?
Never looked so much at eyes as much as overall body shape and color. This is a crappy pic of my juvenile wyoming white pair, direct from Sustainable Aquatics. Much darker orange coloring. They are in a floating breeder box currently with an absolutely tiny acid splash bubbletip.

From ORA The Wyoming White differs from the Platinum in that it will have a pigmented iris, darker red coloration on the face and fins and typically lacks pigment in the dorsal fin. If you have a very good eye, you can also see that Wyoming Whites have a total of 11 dorsal spines compared to the Platinum's 10.

Hmm i pretty sure he is a platinum, only the eyes and black colouration at a young age confuses me (he is 3 cm). but the face is much paler than WWs i might have to count the dorsal spines.

I was able to count dorsals easily with other morphs but this clownfish has a pretty uniform white even the dorsals are the same colour. I will try my best to.

This guys so tiny and keeps moving around, my camera won’t focus. Think it is has 10? Having a black background would help out a lot.

either way i think this little guy is gorgeous and is getting along well with my Picasso so far so i don’t mind what it is. Was just wondering.
