I have a video on Youtube. I have used it here before but now it wont post.
It appears Youtube has reclassified it as a "short" and added that to the address

Oops! We ran into some problems.
The specified URL cannot be embedded as media.

I went and found where I posted it before and it now says video unavailable. The embedded link is dead.

Is there a way around this?

i don't know much about how it works, but i'll try this??

My channel has videos and Shorts now

I cant embed the ones classified as shorts. I have no idea why they did this.

Stupider every day

nope
It appears the forum software doesn't like the backslashes in the url
or something

just delete the /short/ from the URL

The youtube share link doesnt work but you can put it in a BB code using part of the address.

Kind of a pain. Thanks for nothing Google.

they both worked this time..
is that what was not working?

I am adding them with BB code and not the embed media function. They do work that way.
Posting the link in the media box doesnt work.
I’ll see if we can get this fixed ASAP!

i still know nothing... but glad it worked out for you Ned...;)

Bump, no longer working

Having issues with this too today, and prior...

The new workaround
Play the video in YouTube and stop it.
Right click on it
Copy video URL
Paste it in Media box on R2R

This generates a link that the insert media box will accept it and the video will play here.
Sorry if you are doing it on a phone and not a PC. I never post videos from my phone.
