Is that bad?Seems to be a species of caulurpa
Is that bad?
I have something else that looks similar but is much skinnier. I was told it was spaghetti worms but I don't think that's what it is. You can see it behind the caulurpa. It can be invasive depending on tank inhabitants
How can I effectively get rid of it? It's it quite a few places around the tank.I see what might be the start of bryopsis
Tank has been running for about 8 months. How long is this tank running and what kind of lifestock (corals/fish)?
What causes it?Bryopsis isn't easy to get rid off.
Some ppl raise the MAG level.
I myself had it once but that was years ago and I stripped the tank to start over completely.
Never had bryopsis again.
What causes it?
I feel like the answer to this is too many nutrients lol
Sorry for the terrible picture but this is also bryopsis, right? Most algae is just because of nutrients due to feedings.
Bryopsis is just one of them that is hard to get rid off.
What's the highest mag level I could maintain that will be safe for everything in the tank except the bryopsis?Yes, I kinda looks like it.
I have heard stories that ppl battle it with elevated MAG levels but there's no guarantee.
Others had some positive results with peroxide grocery in a 50/50% mix to dip your rock in.
@twilliard did some research on this, he can tell you more.
