I have a very strong flow in the tank via the three returns from my pump (reeflo hammerhead gold).
I also have two Koralia 3250 PH in the tank. I have noticed that the flow is too much and not all the gunk in the tank is making it to the overflows :( The fish also like it better when one PH is off.

I am thinking to run one powerhead in one direction for 12 hrs and the other one in opposite direction for 12 hrs. Other option could be to run each one for 30 minutes in a round robin fashion.

Anyone does this? I like the first idea better somehow.

PS - No SPS corals in the tank yet. Just a few zoas and 4 tangs. Tanks is 350G (96X30X28).

try adjusting your returns in diff directions sometimes the flow from them causes eddies in the water trapping dust in corners of the tank

If these are the new generation Ks, then they are designed to turn off and on on a regular schedule, and you can set them up to do so using timers or a wave-maker timer. I would guess that there are quite a few people currently do that, but can't say for sure. How large is your tank, and how do you have the two powerheads aimed in regards to the tank itself?
