Bare bottom 20 gallon-advise please :)

Im thinking of starting up a barebottom 20 gal long...or a regular 20 I have laying around.
IM SO INDECISIVE!
Anyone have fun pics of a 20 gal of any dimension!

ohhhh thanks! I like the regular long rimless one.
Dumb question but can you take a rim off of one? or would it look terrible?

Depends what rim do you have? Just the top or all the sides?

I have a regular 20 gal sitting around. has black trim on the top and bottom. I can keep the bottom but would want to take off the top one. Is that possible?

oh yeah the top is easy I was just wondweing because I dont know if you can take off the sides :)

But rimless is built with thicker glass and made to withstand the pressure without the rims support so I guess you would have to research it more and kind of take the risk. If I was you I wouldnt fill it up in your house. I would fill it up outside with freshwater and then let it sit for a week or so. Then check it for bowing if it dosent burst. I just realized the friend I got the info from has turned his fish tank into a turtle tank before he did it and didnt tell me.
