FTS update 11-20-19:

DSC02405.jpg

I’m back to the hobby after a 4-5 year break, hailing from Washington DC. All of my goodies from BRS came in today, still waiting on my tank, lights, pumps, and stand to come in some time this week. Then i will seal the inside of the stand and get to plumbing!

Still waiting on:
Ecotech mp40w (will add a second in several weeks)
Radion XR30 G4 (will add a second in several weeks)
90 Starfire cube (36x24x24)
Ecotech M1
36” solid grey oak stand
Red pipe from BRS

My plan is for this to be an SPS dominate tank, with a few softies/LPS. Fish list is TBD. I will eventually be adding the Neptune two part doser.

Can’t wait to start and share this build with all of you!

Thanks! I did get my points from the purchase, and please do drop the link to the plumbing parts. I still have to pick (most) of these up.

Looks ike my tank hit a bit of a delay but should be here by the end of the week still!

I'm ordering the same tank at the end of October. I can't wait to get it! Looking forward to see your build as well. I ended up going with a basement sump to make things a little easier. Please post lots of pics! Good Luck!

Looks good! Love the pooch! Does their stands come assembled? I was thinking of going with an all white stand.

The one that i ordered did, but i don’t know if the MDF stands come pre built. The solid wood ones are about $180 more, but it is extremely nice.

Progress has been made! I got the tank up on the stand and finished painting/sealing/siliconing the inside of the stand. The thing is GORGEOUS.

Unfortunately i can’t leak test the tank until i plumb it as the overflow has slots in the bottom of it as well. I got a bit of the plumbing done today, and will be able to dry fit most of the stuff tomorrow, but i have to wait until my gate valves arrive in the mail to finish the plumbing. Hoping to have it wet and set up by next Thursday.

Got most of the aquascaping done today. I love the right side of the tank. Going to add more rock (cured live rock) to the left side once it gets wet.
