Couple pics from display. Finding growth under LED is slower than same coral under my T5. Time will tell I guess

Well it's been a while, calcium reactor has been doing its job. Its supposed to make things easier right. Well not if you keep playing with it. Really got over the sand box for my wrasse so removed it and sold my wrasse. I thought if I don't do it now while tank is empty it will be too hard later. My water storage container was empty so my litemeter was pumping out salt and ato topping up fresh. Salinity got down to 1.024, coral wasn't too happy with that. Just a loss of polyp extension on the plus side algae started to die. Still unsure if the 2 are related. Anyway here are some pics from the frag tank and top down of display OI000270.JPG OI000253.JPG OI000225.JPG OI000273.JPG OI000257.JPG OI000240.JPG

Couple new bits from a aquaculture facility here is on. Looking forward to growing these out. A bit different to the wild stuff I usually get.
And one that's just come out of quarantine. It started to get nice colour in their but needed from for new stuff. Hoping it continues to gain colour

Tank has been pretty much cruising along nicely, starting to see some growth finally on some coral. Been playing with the lights which some coral didnt like but no casualties. I guess the downside to led. I have been tempted to chuck the t5 back in display but I have 2 different fixtures so it will look odd.
Couple pics 6 months apart

Its been a while since last update. It hasnt been a good month. I had my first major issue in my reefing career lol. I used a floculant product to bind all the fine particles that were doing my head in, due to this i had to do a water change to remove to larger particles it produced. Product worked a treat and cleaned my rock of all the little bits of algae too. I was unaware though my nsw in winter has a higher level of potassium, tank was at 360 but after 2 x 200lt water changes over 2 weeks it spiked to 420. Still not 100% sure if this is the issue but I only lost blue corals and all the tenuis. No metals in icp or anything abnormal and its just weird that it was only blue corals and tenuis. Rtn from top down simutaniously in frag tank and display. Live and learn no more water changes or products in the tank. I broke my own rule and got burnt. All other corals are fine still though.
