Hi everyone. I bought this lovely piece of coral a couple months back. Doing fine in the tank, and was sold to me as war coral, but I'm not so sure. Can anyone clarify? I've not seen any feeder, or sweeper tentacles. Any advice on getting the most out of this beauty would be greatly appreciated. Water parameters fine, using 0.5ml of coral booster daily, placed 3 inches above the coral. Appreciate the advice!

Yeah sure:

It's a decent size colony. Got it on the rocks, about 2 inches off the sandbed. Good growth already, started to make its way onto the rocks. Plenty of space between this and other corals.

I’m tagging along. Embarrassed to say but 30+ yrs reefing; no clue what “War coral” actually means. I’ve seen it applied to multicolored specimens but not absolutely to a single genera.
Nice piece by the way, thanks for the natural light pic ...
Mind telling what that nice piece set you back? (absolutely no offense if you don’t)

Yeah sure. I paid £35 for it, must be 50 polyps or more. There’s some existing skeletal structure on the top, I’m guessing where there once were polyps. But seems to be growing, so guessing over time it’ll just cover it again.
