Wow incredible tank! It took me 4 days but I finally got through your thread. It was like reading a good book and I’m finally at the end. I’m picking up my 125 gallon tank this weekend and will be slowly setting it up in the coming months. Hoping to have fish in it by Christmas.
Your thread here is loaded with such useful information I barely know where to begin with the questions. I have seen a few things you did that I’d like to incorporate in my tank.
I looked into the viparspectra lights and they look impressive for the price. My question is do you think that 3x165 watt fixtures are sufficient for a 6’ tank or 2x300 watt fixtures?
I have a 2” red monti frag I just got for my 32biocube last month and now you’ve helped me set a goal as to where I’d like it to be in 3 years.

Glad to have helped! Yes three 165w units will work well!

Been messing with my new iPhone 11 camera and it settings to see if I could get better pictures with it than my old phone.

It’s definitely an improvement.

Great pics. How long has that red monti been there towards the bottom?

Thanks, closer to what I see when looking at the tank. The red one on the rock at the sand bed, I’m not quite sure could be a year maybe two.

Pics looks good with your new phone. Of course it helps when you have a good looking tank like yours.

Any idea why your growth is so slow?

Man what a weekend! I sold all the toadstool frags I had and sold some birdsnest, Pocillipora, candy cane......

Even sold a toad to Remy from Bahama Llama coral YouTube channel. A local Youtuber. Check him out and if you like his channel, hit the “subscribe” and the like “button” and the bell!

Maybe we will see it on his channel!

We met up at a local LFS “The corner reef”.

So........ I had to buy something from them and picked up a “fire” Goniopora!

Thanks to Steve at The Corner Reef!

Don,
Was wondering where you have your wavemakers located and how high.
Working on the flow in my DT. Starting to have cyno appear in spots on my rocks.
I don't have the coral like you. Tank has been running for 7 months.
I have (2) RW15'S in the middle on each end 5" down from the top pointed at each other ~ 4" from top of the aquascape. Two returns in each back corner pointed to the front middle of tank.
I have flow around my aquascape at the bottom, I can see little swirls.

I just replaced one of my RW15’s, as it had finally died after 5 years. The JB wave controller looks to be not working either. So I’m just running them all with the Jebao controllers at the lowest speed for now. Since I’m home now, I’m going to attempt to master/slave them.

I have them at each end of the tank facing each other, pointed at the water surface about three inches from the waterline.

Update: Corals are doing great! I was able to synchronize the Jebao’ and I like the chaotic flow, so do the corals!

Water change soon. Water is made and ready.

I’m going to go DIY for phosphate. Was watching a Youtuber “telegraham” live stream making it. Food grade trisodium phosphate. Way cheaper! This will happen!

Going to pull the trigger on a clip on filter for my iPhone soon.

My corals the wife ordered from Yourreef will be shipping soon. I will do my best to take some pictures of them after they settle.

I have mine running master/slave in mode 'C', which is p1 runs, stops, p2 runs, stops. Both stops for few seconds then both runs, then repeats.
Thanks
