Flippers reef 125 gallon

Aside from the "yeast" wars going on in my system, there's some good stuff:

New acans:

Corals and fish are looking happy

Just do not set it up sideways ;):D:D

I can't think of a better way the wife could get all the grandkids together, so they can maximize their ability to inflict bodily harm on each other, than a trampoline! Lol She bought it! Lol

Any one having success with filter mesh in stead of felt socks???
Don’t love vacuuming anything

I've always used felt socks since the nineties, never mesh. I'm sure there is plenty of people that use mesh.

Update on the Diatoms. I decided to go another week dosing yeast. It does seem to be having an impact, but not completely there yet. Will see.

It's been almost another week since the last update on the yeast dosing.

So what's the verdict?

It's eliminated 98% and drastically knock them down hard. I actually stopped dosing Tuesday and they have been declining everyday since. Sand is very white now.

Hopefully this is it. We'll see.

On to other stuff...... I decided to finally replace my Ranco controller that stop working well over two years ago.

After a lot of research and limited funds, decided on a Ink Bird controller. A Tc 308.

The only thing I'm concerned about is the probe. They say it's stainless steel, but I'm going to shrink wrap it before use.

I'll let you know how it works once up and running.

Good to know. I have the same one but have not set it up yet.

Yep, once you figure out the settings, it works like a charm. Very consistent and very happy so far. Went way too long with out one.
