Very blue pics cause I used only t5s which run 3 blue+, 1 coral+. Much whiter tank with the hydra on.

Just wanted to show my first couple sps in January to current time. Just the monti and nub.

Walt Disney, tough to get the color on it but this is decent. I’ve knocked it over and glued it down a few times since I got it early May. I think it may be settling in now despite my abuse.

Cool little plate from UniqueCorals. I think it’s around 1 inch.

No. Honestly I wouldn’t.

I’m going to start posting my parameters whenever I test hopefully this helps me with my tank keeping rituals.

Tonight
Phosphate- 0.04
Alkalinity- 7.6 usually around 8 but I thought I’d let it drop between 7.5-8 and have 8 as my high end.
Nitrate- 4.0

Todays numbers..

Alk - 7.4 time to turn up the doser a little depending on numbers after my water change.
Calcium - 568
Nitrate - 0 - 0.25 edit! So I panicked a little when I saw 0.25 but I forgot I was testing highrange lol..
Phosphate - 0.09
pH - 8.2
T - 78.3

I have Mg, K, and I but don’t feel that they are necessary today based on numbers from my last few checks.

I did check some par levels with the apogee being sent around by members and must say I’m impressed by its ease of use. Numbers aren’t much different from my seneye but I feel a little more confident in my coral placement now.

Would also like to note I did place some stuff on larger frag disks and recently bumped up alk/cal due to consumption.

Tested a couple days ago at 7.5 alk, 0.06 phos, 4ppm nitrate.
Swapped out my mp10 wetside and my carbon reactor pump must have seized up do to excess growth in/around it so vinegar bathed a few things. I think next is stop pushing my luck, get a second return pump, and swap them out for a proper cleaning. I would also like to give my protein skimmer a good cleaning. The coralline and other algae build up as been insane the last couple months. That with the increase in baby snails all over the place I’ve been lucky my return still runs properly im sure.

Another round of test!
7.5 alk.. been struggle to stabilize after a maxima addiction.
Calcium still around 420
Nitrate about 2
Phos 0.07 not upset about it tank seems to be doing good.
I did raise my alk 1.2mL/day(larger increase than I like..) going to check again tomorrow.
Only other thing I’ll do is keep fresh filter pads the next couple days.

Thought I’d also add I’m going to be adding a tank to my collection. I’m thinking a 150g is in my future. Lately I’ve just been waiting for quotes and looking into equipment.

I have the Ext 25 Aps stand by innovative marine. I was just wondering, if the sump you have in it is the Fiji cube 20 1st generation or 2nd generation? Also how did you get the sump to fit? It looks like a very tight fit. What size return pump do you have? Many thanks =)

Sweet light, you will be able grow anything. The Phoenix does change color after use for awhile. My favorite bulb second to radium but they do not make DE any longer that I know of.

I don’t think so. I bought the fixture due to it being open box and being much more affordable. I’ve been testing its par and I have to say the #s brs posted in their video on it are pretty close.
