I have 2 cane corsos a male and a female, the female is roughly 115lbs and the male is 130ish, i love this breed, we are lucky to have the Cane Corso foundation in our backyard in Austin Tx, Both are rescues and both are wonderful and super protective, the good.. if a man came in the house it would not be a pretty site.. the other side of that is a 5yr old could rob us blind.. lol Mind you those are the largest dog beds they make thats not custom.

Hi awesome dogs!!! Had bull mastiffs for years! Now have American bulldog. Looking into Cane corso? Is that a male? He’s big!! How are their temperament? I am assuming if their trained they could be good family dogs? Thanks Tom

They are 100% family dogs, great temperament, Mine will guard the fence line and walk the house every hour, then go lay back down. We dont have to leash them most the time because they stay right with us regardless, we have never since we have had then had either run off after something or someone. if someone gets to close the will get in front of us and sit to protect us. a funny story.. The female LOVES Halloween, she loves to see the kids, ive lived in my house for 4 years the first 2 she kept trying to follow a group of little kids down the street that came to the door, now they take her with them and she just follows them around the street, if someone doesn't look right she veers the kids away by nudging them.

My nephews will play with them in the front yard and when someone comes to close or dosent look just right they will nudge the kids behind then stand b/t them and the person in full protection mode.

Wow that’s really cool! Funny thing my female bull mastiff would do the same thing sit right in front of my wife or kid if she did not feel comfortable. Lol Wish I could rescue but I know my bulldog would not accept a full grown dog he is a male!! My only hope would be bringing a female pup home!! And introduce them outside! Just finding a good breeder relatively local is not proving easy!!! Anytips would be a appreciated! Thanks Tom

This is Loki. He is an Airedale Terrier. He likes to scare the fish and check out the frags. He is incredibly brave, great with kids and sometimes stubborn. Best of all he hardly sheds.

I’m sure that was a tough loss, but 14 is an amazingly long life.

I have 2 Pyrenees mixes. I think I’ll always have a working breed dog, but I’m not sure I’ll have 2 dogs again. The smaller female is about 60lbs and get very food/attention aggressive with the 120lb one.

I have a 50 pound 2 1/2 year old border collie female and a 4 year old Great Pyreneese/golden retriever mix male who is 110 pounds and the female bullys the male over not just food but attention! Last night the Golden Pyreneese was cuddling on the couch and the border collie walked in and started attacking him! Like full blown im gonna kill you attacking . I even got some cuts from her accidently biting me while i was stopping them! The male is such a big dog and acts like a tough guy but hes a big scardy cat ! Whenever the border collie walks in the room he goes to a corner sits down and puts his head down into the corner. Weve had such good experience in the past with having 2 dogs and this kind ruins it . We arent horrible people but if it comes down to it were gonna choose the dog weve had for 4 years! And we think we might have to rehome the border cause she attacks him on a daily baisis

Cutest puppies ever all around. Waiting to hear some good flatulence (fart) stories. Pardon my French.

Trixie’s full of them, stories I mean.

Winter takes the opportunity to fart pretty much every time we tell her to sit. And when shes running down the stairs every morning, it's certainly a quick way to wake up!

Dude I'll be honest my farts make my wife want to divorce me she's been dealing with it for a long time lol.
Moose farts are on a whole other level even make me sick.
I'm currently building a dog mansion in the back yard due to other reasons like we cant leave him home by himself with him totally wrecking the house and chewing up everything.
It's only for when we aren't home lol

Is that a substitute house for you as well when you misbehave?

My second Malamute. Kane, a rescue I adopted 2 years ago.

My boy has all these characteristics. Full guard dog mode on the fence line. Does not leave my wife side. Super cool and relaxed loving personality and when hes around people all he wants to is lick them and sit in the lap haha. Its funny he barks at the neighbors dog all the time. However when we cross paths outside all he wants to do is play.
Its instinctive for them to be loyal family guard dogs for sure.
