Hey Everyone,

I'm looking to get an LED light for the new 45g setup that I'll be getting later this week. The dimensions are 24x24x18. I was looking at the radion xr15w pro but I'm looking for suggestions from those more experienced that I. Any suggestions or input is appreciated.

Thanks!

Raidon is a powerful light, and there are alot of fans. It will work perfectly for your tank dimensions using the 120deg lenses suspended 8-9 inches from the waterline. At 85watts it is stronger than most lights in its class. The only downside is in order to program it you need a laptop. Smartphone integration is 99.00 more and the bracket to suspend the light is also 99.00. So another $200 just to get it setup and work wirelessly.

Then you have a bunch of others and chinese made LEDs which can also do what you need them to do.

Ask yourself what do you need the light to do?

What are your coral goals, future growth including possible larger tanks?

Wattage=Strength of light and power consumption (higher power bills)

Integration with smartphone important to you? Future Apex integration?

Cost versus benefit spending the few extra $$ gets you everything?

There are alot of ways to skin this cat. Research and comparison are your most important subjects to focus on when selecting a light. Best of luck to you.
