Low PH

I cycled my WB 110.4 about a week and a half ago. I added 2 clown fish and, a week later, 3 soft corals and a clean-up crew of 2 shrimp, 15 snails, and 5 hermits. It's getting some brown algae. The pH dropped to 7.6, and the alkalinity is at 120 zero nitrate and nitrite. The corals look good. Should I add a pH increase?

That alkalinity is really high for 0 nutrients. I would assume the corals won’t look good for much longer. I don’t think ur oh is accurate because that super low corals would definitely not look happy. What are you using for your tests?

An Alkalinity of 120ppm is actually rather low (6.7 dKh).

OP the pH is fine.

I was assuming he meant 12dkh. If my ph was 7.6 I would be worried…

Is 7.6 your low or high? My acro tank runs pH at a low of 7.6 with a peak of 7.8 - 7.9 and my corals are fine. Unless you're chasing growth I don't find higher pH is necessary. I can't comment on alk as I can only relate to dkH . Mine runs low to mid 8 dkH.

I changed about 13 gallons now its better
