My friend gave me what I thought was a plate coral last summer. It had no tentacles and looked like a normal plate. Later on it started getting fuzzy and led me to believe it was a long tentacle plate but still didn’t look like one. Now I’m thinking it’s a tongue coral, in which is important as they can sting other corals. Can anyone confirm this?
