I've been in saltwater(let alone fish PERIOD) for approximately 7 months. This is my second tank. First was a plain 90 that I got off a barter(type) job. I do landscape/ irrigation work here in Dallas.

So in this 7 month span, I've learned alot from forums and people in general. Great people here locally.

This tank is a 175g bowfront.
Berlin200 with mag18 return. And various pumps pushing thru a chiller, carbon reactor(DIY thanks trav), and skimmer. ASM G3.(I think).

Lighting for the time being, is IC660 with actinic/454 vho. 2-5', 1-3'. And 2 10k trulumen strips.

2 finnex 300w heaters. One in each overflow.

All powered/ controlled by APEX.

Everything is working good for now. And my 'normal' attitude towards things are, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Or if it's working fine don't jak with it. LoL. But I've come to the 'harsh' realization, that in this hobby, its NEVER good enough. So, with that said, soon, I'll be upgrading the lighting to something better. Cause there's ALWAYS better. And I've also been reading aLOT about led lighting. Just haven't chosen which one to do.

And I'll be upgrading the skimmer to something a tad better. Don't know what yet.

I DO know that I love this hobby. A few people thought I was crazy to jump right in to salt. But I assured them that I could NOT be the only one. :) !?!

Here's a few pics. And a few more later. iPhone only so far so bear with me.

Thanks for the comments.

Actually that IS away from other corals. Didn't know it HAD sweepers until the other morning when I fed the candy canes. I'm still learning.

Actually the rock nem on the left just finished spawning. Looked weird.
