my firefish has some parisite

i just got a new firefish and turned on the light this morning and when he poked out to see if i was feeding... i seen some thing attached to him... looks like a whiteish clear rollie pollie... dunno what it is but can clearly see that its sucking its blood... everytime i try to get a pic of my firefish b4 i get my finger on the button he hides ...do any of you know what this could be? and if it may harm the life of my firefish?

It sounds like a parasitic isopod. But msman said, a pic would be great.

I Have Some Pretty Big Isopods, Never Seen Them On Fish But I Am Worried About Them Because Of Thier Size

ya i seen that ... while searching the web.. dont like the out come ... lol .. and i moved some of the rock around to see if i could scare it out from hiding and now i dont even see the firefish in my tank.. at all ill wait ill tomorrow and see when i feed if it will come out and try to catch it and take that lil bugger off of him. and dispose of him via toilet. lol hey rev did you get my pm's

Man that sucks. I would try to catch the firefish and squeeze the isopod and kill it. Pulling it off might tear the fish's flesh. Good luck.

i searched for it last night didnt find him ... found him when i got home on the bottom of the tank dead..that isopod did a # on him ... i think the crabs had a nibble too...man that sucks too i just got him friday i think .... well theres definetly more than one.. i took the prefilter off my powerhead and there were about 5 of em inside the prefilter...so i boiled some water and let em go for a dip or 3 or 5 ok ok 20 lol got out all that i could.. is there anything i could buy like a trap of some sort? i want these pest outta my tank..
