Here is the tank I upgraded to on the left:
47ea9a4b-a5f2-d4c2.jpg

The upgrade is from an aqeon undrilled 45 gallon aquarium to an oceanic 90 gallon reef ready ultimate (its really called that!) tank with a black backround, black silicone, and a starphire front. I picked it up on monday for $200 with a foxface, occelaris breeding pair, and a wet dry. I had to widen the back opening on the stand to put in my 30 gallon refugium, but that only took a couple minutes.

Most of the water out, livestock moved:

Sand (also included) and some water in the 90:

I added sand and the lr first, but I never took a pic of that.
More water:

My snowflakes (above) get along great with the occelaris pair, to my relief.
New mh pendents in there temporary position:

The tank right now:

The foxface's tail was ripped off by a piece of lr that was in the transport bucket, but it seems to be healing nicely.

I siliconed the outside of both bulkheads, I could not fit a wrench and they began to leak. The silicone just cured and has so far solved the leak.

Congrats on the upgrade! Just a heads up that it will only be a matter or time before the clowns don't get along. Once they get settled in their new home and set up their own "territory," they'll be bullying eachother.

Havent been updating for a while. Since I last posted, I added a koralia evo, a no brand powerhead, a frag rack, 30 or so pounds of lr, and a boat load of frags.

I also added a RKL with a pH probe and 2 pc4s, and it is an incredible investment.

47ea9a4b-dd5c-0da7.jpg

Not a good representation of light in the darker pics, I have my clam, sps, and all other corals under pretty intense light.

The zoas on the upper left are newer additions, and so are a lot of frags, bur only because I havent been updating. The pink star polyps, encrusting monti, most softies, etc. Were local, all sps and hard corals were online orders.

Ya, the tang ate it all in a day, lol. Ill post an fts soon, and another pick of my frag rack. I take growth pics every couple weeks with my phone. They are blurry, but are a good rep of the size of the corals.

He did though, but he didnt touch the caulerpa I have growing in my dt. I rip it of the rocks and put it in my fuge once a week.

I can only assume you know caulerpa is a-sexual meaning it spreads like who dun it.... Putting it in your fuge just allows it to seed and keep growing in your display.... Throw it away in a trash can.... That stuff has demolished reefs on the cali coast and is illegal to have in some places lol...

Hmmm it is byropsis, I just googled it. Whats the best way to get rid of that?

Kents tech "m" raise your mag levels up to 1600 or so and it should start to vanish.... Very hard to get rid of any other way...

That seemed to be the most used method. Ill see what I can do. Sad though, I thought it was caulerpa for 6 months, my fuge is packed with it (on purpose) and all of is loaded with pods, even in my dt. It really only started spreading a month ago.
