Did some experiencing with advice I heard from Vincent Chalias at RAP, just a couple things
•Lowering the temperature from 78F to 75-76F
•Feeding heavy, "Bathing" the corals in food for a few hours then do weekly water change.
My experience with this is, I'm not showing any positive results as far as the water being cooler, didn't have better/more PE in SPS. And the heavy feeding only yielded a small algae bloom.
Ultimately I decided to go back to what I was doing before the last crash that was giving me good growth and color in SPS. Parameters are as follows
Cal-420
Alk-9
Mag-1320
pH-8.3
phos. <.02
No3- < 5ppm
Temp-78
Salinity 1.023

Tank is looking good. It's going to be awesome when all your sps grow out

Yeah, I had them growing really fast and coloring up nice and added a piece of uncycled rock like a dummy and had a small crash that took me back a notch, waiting for them to color back up. Lost a few nice ones but live n learn. Thanks for your kind words!

I really like the look of this spectrum at this time of the schedule specifically , so I thought I'd post it. It's an AI Prime HD about 7" AWL

Is that the Prime HD or standard? How do you like it? I am considering switching my 32g biocube over to a prime, just have to make a screen lid.... sweet looking 14g by the way.

Thanks! I like it, I get great growth, my tank had a mini crash about a month ago but before that, between January and March, I had huge jumps in growth and color. You can see it in my earlier posts in this thread.

I'm getting great polyp extension, my colors still aren't what they were but they are progressing, mostly green at this point, some are brown towards the base. I'm going to hold steady for a while and see what happens before I decide to start changing things up. Any advice is welcome :)

Maintaining the same parameters. Found the sweet spot for my doser and it has maintained my parameters for 4 days now! Which is huge for a 17 gallon system. I usually have to adjust my dose every 2 days. I hate to have to do a water change, hopefully I'll be able to find this "sweet spot" again (yeah I just quoted myself).
Acro's are growing very well, I notice new growth almost every day. Colors aren't great, but like I said in the last post, I will hold steady for a while. It took a few months for new acros to color up before the crash.
