I'm new here. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, so I feel I am a bit spoiled with the amount of LFS near me.

I have been working on freshwater aquariums off and on for many years, and haven't touched a tank since before I started traveling for work 5 years ago. I have been wanting to start a reef tank far longer than that.

Finally this year, my son is of the age where he wants to have a fish tank, so I used this as the opportunity to jump into this hobby that I have been reading off and on about for many years now.

We are starting a 40B tank that will be a mixed reef tank. I am looking forward to asking questions and sharing our progress.

Thank you. We had to keep it mellow so my wife would allow the tank in the house, so a 40B was our mellow. My son has been begging me for the last week or so to be able to get him his first fish to put in there. Little guy is even willing to get rid of some of his toys so he can have a tank. I am excited from his excitement.

I am in North Las Vegas too. There is one less than a mile away from the house, and another couple within 10 miles. The south side of town has many as well.
