The prime hd flickers when the white light is turned on. However if the white isn't used, it's fine. Can this be fixed if I put the non-hd 26 led into the prime hd?

Bump for any AI experts out there.

You could call AI tell. I believe their service is supposed to be pretty good.

I heard they charge 3$ for replacement LED but they would usually send it out for free

Are you suggesting swapping individual LEDs between prime and hydra?

It is possible that flickering is caused by a bad LED, but not guaranteed as seen in one of my repairs:

Replacing individual LEDs on AI hydra and prime are notoriously difficult without the right equipment due to the materials used to make LED module boards. There is a good chance of destroying the board if the temperature profile is not followed.
Also, depending on the age of the light, Prime and Hydra use very different LEDs. Those cannot be swapped between lights.

Gotcha. Didn't even think of that..

Yea the leds aren't the same in the hydra to prime like the other person posted, your best bet for the most info would be to call ai. I have had my led lens get burned before, the customer support is great there, they talked me through everything and got me the part I needed to repair it right through one call.
