Caught sight if the Purple Fire fish out and about so he survived me letting go of bag at acclimation He wasn’t fully displaying yet still timid and settling in pi’s were lousy hopefully gave better tomorrow.

Happy Sunday ! Spent a few pleasant hours at @RichtheReefer21 home today. He was crazy enough to let me help re level his tank Fortunately all went well. His tank is beautiful so much to see. Too, a few pics to practice my skills still no Wet Salty Knees badge earned but getting there. Other than the amazing corals particularly the massive leather from @Scurvy was cool to see the coralline change color to hot pink oncehe drained his tank prepping yo jack it up. Tried to capture cpl pics and correct for heavy blues on at time no pic will do his tank justice as in person

Thanks! Last guy lost after a few months hurt This guy really took to tank right away and has been feeding on pods like crazy. Hopefully I can get em on masstic but other pigs so fast going after it he only gets a cpl,pecks before it’s wiped off glass

Tank looks better but nitrates still task me but not to worried new gfo and carbon went in Other day and found wife was back to feeding every day so back on track every other day again. Gonna keep plucking away seeing some discoloration on gha in spots and it’s pulling little easier again. With more corraline showing glass and overflow still moving tight direction. Have 25 gallons mixing for tomorrow. #honestyinreefing haven’t changed water in 2 weeks so nitrates on me. Still pretty happy they are what they are missing cpl wc’s

I am starting to experiment with dosing kalk a little bit to see how things go. Keep up the great work, Ray! Happy reefing!

Guess who's CBB is eating mastic off the front glass? This guys
He wasn't to quick in figuring it out but got around to it in the end. I put two small spots out and other fish wiped one out and started on 2nd then CBB figured it out and got in on it.

Hi Ray, holiday was awesome! I was in Perth visiting my mom and my sister. I resisted going to a LFS but i did managed to pick up a few macros and a strange looking goose neck barnacle from the beach.
i think my dkh was around 6 last time. I did another 10% WC bf i went on holiday. That’s like 2 weeks ago. Somy consumption is not much yet but i pick up a few more sps and lps frags after the holiday... so maybe the consumption will start to increase slowly. I will do some more testing to keep the parameters in check.
At the moment, i bought a pH controller to hook up my Kalkwasser doser and set the pH to be at 8.2. So the kalk is helping to stabilise my pH level without overdosing. It’s only been a cpl of days since i set it up. Will keep you posted on the overcome. Happy reefing everyone and have an awesome year 2020!
