Has anyone here bought from Reefgoods.com?
They sell Cipro with no prescription. Unsure if this is a trustworthy company/site.

I would think cipro is cipro but best left to humans
While there has been some positive results with affected coral, ive seen the opposite effect.
I agree a good price with no prescription
In doing a background search, they seem legit

I would not trust any company selling drugs without a prescription. Not because the company is not 'reputable' - but because their drug is likely not been proven to be the proper dose, etc. There are numerous FDA warnings concerning this issue. Second - it's not recommended practice due to the risk of antibiotic resistance unless treating a known actual disease under the recommendation of a veterinarian.

Thank you for your comments.
I’ve been battling BJD with torches and hammers.
I’ve been dipping , however I have not been winning.
I had a frogspawn that beat it, but have now lost 1 torch and 1 hammer.
Another torch, has it and I dipped it last night in Seachem reef dip.
Fingers crossed it doesn’t look worse when I get home.
Was thinking Cipro I could dose the tank to prevent from spreading.

I’ve ordered from them several times when trying to save corals. Orders all shipped the same day. I’ve got nothing bad to say about them.

Those of you who have purchased from them, they recommend 1 tab PER 20 gallons, doesn’t that seem like a lot??
That’s likely a dosage used to treat bacterial infections in fish. I wouldn’t take dosage or treatment advice from a fish medication bottle. I would follow well established guides based on the issue you’re encountering.

They are in the business of selling pills so you may want to do some research and reach your own conclusion.

Pricing doesn’t seem unreasonable. Cipro is a widely available generic drug which can be purchased from the manufacturers for very cheap. This seller is likely making a nice margin at the listed price.

I ordered cipro from them. Shipped fast and it cured my tank of whatever was causing bjd. I now use it as part of my dip regimen.

So while I only have good things to say about my experience, these are tablet-form and take some effort to crush and dissolve. I know there are some versions that are capsules and much easier to empty and dose. I was in a hurry, price seemed reasonable, and they do what they are supposed to.

I also used this guide instead of the one-time treatment that Reef Goods calls for:

Good luck!

I turned the corner on BJD (after losing close to all my euphyllia while trying other dips) by dipping in Lugol’s iodine with 1ml of the prepared cipro solution for ~10 minutes.

In addition to treating the tank for a week with the link I previously posted, this appeared to help a lot.

Sorry ignore the double post. The app gave me an error when I tried my first reply.

Hello everybody. Sorry we are only seeing this post now. Just to answer a few of the questions/concerns that are in this thread. Yes we are legit and we are the sister company of Blue Seas Aquariums. We currently operate out of the same store/location. We use this cipro in our own systems at the same dosing rate of 1 tablet per 20 gallons which works well to stop any brown jelly or weird bacterial infections we might notice going on.

Unfortunately we do not come on here too often but we can be reached via phone, text or email anytime if anybody has any questions. You can find our contact info at the bottom of our site.

many times antibiotics sold for fish are NOT for human consumption so the do not fall under FDA scrutiny ...
