I set up an AWC system using a Litermeter and it works great. My issue is that the SW tank is in the garage and I live in S Florida so its way hot in the garage. I believe the heat is causing precipitation and have white residue on everything in the storage tank. I am using HW-Marinemix salt from BRS.

Is my only option to setup a tank in the house to avoid this? Would changing salt help?

Welcome to R2R. Living in central Florida my garage gets to 98 to 100 degrees some days, years ago I put in an A/C unit to cool the garage.
options
1. If your hot water heater is in the garage like mine, they make a heat pump water heater that will cool your garage will heating you water. Price
2. A/C you garage
3. Relocate your holding tank.

If you seal the container heat should have no effect on salt water. When you heat salt water the water evaporates and leaves the minerals behind so the only problem that will cause is the salinity of the water that is left will rise over time.

What you might have is drops from splashes. This will be salt water and the water will evaporate and leave the minerals behind.

Salt water evaporates into pure water and if it condenses on your container it will have no minerals in it.

Here is some into on heat pump water heaters
I cut a hole in my wall, braced the brick wall and planted a bush by the wall so you can not see it from the street. I insulated the attic and I used styro foam panels to insulated the garage door

That heat pump is a good idea, but I don't think I could sell that to the wife haha. Plus I have 2 little kids and they are out playing and the garage is open half the day so it will never really cool down. I think it really have no other choice but do put something in the house to hold the saltwater.

The storage tank is covered, so there is no evaporation happening.

Ambient air temp is 90+ so a fan isn't going to really help any.

There is a good amount of precipitation. I don't have a picture.

I just don't know what elements are coming out of the water before getting to my tank and I'm sure it may not be consistant every time I make new water.

You build a closet around the water barrel and tap in to you AC duct work and have the closet cool as the rest of the house.
