So this was a surprise I mentioned weeks ago for the biocube however I havent been able to get a shot a these reclusive beings until today. We scored a pair of Yasha gobies with a pistol on DD. I rarely see both fish at the same time but I did finally get a usable shot of one of them. You can see the little pistol shrimp next to him doing some maintenance to their penthouse cave.

Haha! I absolutely love them but wish i saw more of them. For a while i wasnt sure both even survived but did finally see them at the same time.

They will get comfortable. My hi fin never hides. In fact, just got done feeding it by hand.

I hope so. Part of me wonders if the pistol keeps them from leaving the cave.
They must have a really nice apartment under that rock. There’s 3 entry/exits all the way around.

My 2 wheelers gobies, aka Mr and Mrs Smith, have big rock with three entrances as well and a candy cane pistol.

Sometimes one roams the tank, sometimes the other, sometimes both.

Sometimes they just guard 2 of the 3 entrances.

I t took a while, but I think it’s a comfort level thing.

Great names! Its Good to hear more positive evidence that things should improve. Im normally a heavy handed feeder but ive been trying to be less so to get them out of the cave to feed. Seems to be helping some.

That’s for checking it out. Still a long way to go but it’s starting to come together! I think it needs more wrasse My back still hurts from lifting it and I doubt my brother will ever answer his phone when I call again!
