That’s for checking it out. Still a long way to go but it’s starting to come together! I think it needs more wrasse ;) My back still hurts from lifting it and I doubt my brother will ever answer his phone when I call again!

lol ! Thought the same thing when moving mine.... made him help move it out of someone’s little basement rowhome up two flights of stairs. Along with the rock and most of the water.... and then into my house. The way my back was screaming thought I’d never hear from him again, until he called me with his CL find haha. Now it’s his wife that’s upset and doesn’t call lol

I removed the Trachy tonight and moved into one of the holding tanks I still have running to see if it would smile for me.

I had left alone for a couple days after that last update and it never opened so I elevated it using a piece of PVC that Ive seen in sale posts. After a couple more days still no good so i moved it the opposite side of the tank under a ledge. Today I noticed more skeleton showing than before with a couple of tiny specs of brown forming so that was the last straw.

We’ll see how it does in the other tank but Im confused I guess. We’ve happy sps showing PE but the supposedly easy LPS coral hates me.

Not really sure where I'm going to go from here. I need to get it identified but I don't have a microscope. And no, mine came from a local guy. Started with one and it has split 3 times now into 4 small ones. If you want to take a ride up, let me know. I can do anytime on the weekends as long as I give the wife a little notice :)
;Hilarious nems....

OK, so not sure what to make of the Trachy so far this morning but it looks like it may be starting to puff itself up. Hopefully its not preparing to dump the polyp.

Not off to a great start otherwise this morning. Decided to remove everything from the 40B as most if it was overrun with aiptasia anyway. Plan was to drain the display, remove 95% of the rock and then refill with whats left in my two holding tubs. Need them gone.

1st step went south quickly as I flooded the bathroom using the python. Saltwater everywhere. I guess that drain jeeds some draino!! More to come later.

Fresh Test results, not what I was hoping to see. Chaeto is growing but PO4 doesn’t seem to be dropping with Nitrate so I added some Phosguard to a bag in the last baffle. Will check again in a couple days.

Alk-8dkh
Calcium 400
Mag 1380
Nitrate - 20
PO4 - .4

I managed to get one more holding tank shut down yesterday along with cleaning up the 40b and changing 20 gallons of water. Boy did it need it. Tank was suffering badly after being ignored for the better part of 2 months.

Added the Radiant wrasse, African Fairy Wrasse and a Long Nose Hawk this morning. The African is still hanging below the rock work but no aggression thus far. Quick Video.

I'm so far behind it isn't funny... but I'm back! I'm loving the tank, looking good with all those wrasse!

Welcome back!

Things are going mostly well even if it doesnt make a ton of sense to me. Sticks are happy when I would have expected them to be my struggle in the early going. The Trachy has me stumped, I expected it to be an easier coral to keep happy but my best guess is it really disliked the high PO4. Apparently the SPS dont mind??

Getting close to adding some other species of fish. I still have the Yellow Tang, Two Saphire Damsels and Mandarin that need to go in. The Mandy and Tang will be last and I'm not sure i even want to keep the Damsels though I do like their color. Ive got a gazillion pods in the fuge Im just not really sure whats in the display, with no sand bed its harder to guess. I do see them on the glass whenever i need to clean it but thats only been once a week or so even with the high nutrient levels.
