Lets also have a look at the Apex Trident and the DOS. Aside from a little battle with Trident reagents and whacky numbers when the bottles were getting low the Trident has been pretty solid.

Currently dosing 11ml of each Triton solution daily spread over 24hrs. 3a & 3b combined for 22ml Daily with 65% of the total dosed during lights on.

And since I seem to be on a roll. We have a revamped scalywag tank. Broke down the 10g that had been fish less for a few months. Moved the two pieces of rock, 1 leather and Henry the giant hermit into the 18g and set it for isolation/QT.

Yep thats right. New fish! I will only observe them here. If meds are needed I will figure something else out but for now we watch.

Trying again with a female Flame wrasse, Radiant Wrasse and a new clown for the Biocube after we lost the blind guy. Haven’t had luck with Flame’s in the past and we lost the old Radiant during the plague outbreak last April.

My calcium and Mag numbers suddenly jumped up from where they had been pretty stable.

I know my Mag is a little high anyway but it jumped up about 80ppm to 1550ish and Calcium to 520ish when the bottles got low. Like the 10-15 test left zone.

After new reagent bottles they fell back to tracking where they had been and are now.
I’m chalking it up to the learning curve of the Trident. If I wind up having to replace before the reagents are fully exhausted thats ok. I tend to run random extra Alk tests anyway which usually means I need to replace that at a different interval than the other two anyway.

After velvet Im more careful I guess you could say. Still not a hard core QT guy but taking a couple extra weeks to isolate and observe is about all I hope to ever need again.

If I were a Trident owner, this is something, at minimum, I would look into to find out if any other users have the same experienece. At maximum, I would defintely be on the phone with them.

Happened to catch the lights at a decent spot for some quick pics yesterday. Came out for ok. Probably look better in a phone/tablet than PC but whatever. Everything's healthy, got great PE and finally encrusted to the rock work. Hoping to see a growth spurt in the days/weeks/months ahead now that they've got a foothold.

Iphone X. Nothing fancy just point and shoot. I struggle with photo's generally, the various settings and after adjustments perplex me but it's something I do need to try and improve upon. I often have better luck taking video clips and screen shotting from them.

Looks good.

I use the aquarium cam app. It has auto filter to remove the blue.
In iPhone photos I pick the picture and hit edit then look for the Magic wand. It auto adjust the picture.
