Do you still do manual dosing like a three part? Well i guess you still need mag does it keep it 100% stable or you you still need to polish off your dosing manualy?

If the kalk can't keep up with the calcium, you can always supplement with two part. I had to do that when I was raising my Mag and Calcium, but once I got it to the level I wanted, I haven't had to dose liquid calcium again.

Honestly, I time the pump to keep up with my evaporation, and then adjust kalk from there. Keep in mind that a gallon of RO can only hold a max of 2 Tbsp of kalk, anymore than that and its not helping you calcium. Also remember that the more kalk you use, the more it'll effect your pH and kH.

2 tsp per gallon of ro/di, not tablespoons.

I have used the drews dosers, the bm doser and now the avast kalk stirrer. I have found that they all work great. using BRS 2 part and never had an issue. a little easier to fine tune your system. The BM doser was really nice as well. I thought I would try to make things simple and got the kalk stirrer.So far after I bumped up my calcium using brs 2 part my levels have not changed over the last 2 weeks with the stirrer. So far so good. Time will tell but I really like the avast kalk stirrer

Off kalk and I'm fine but I have a bubble Magnus set up sitting in the box ready to go... Works had me way to busy for my normal life... Anywho I know a few with the dossers and they swear by them I will be able to tell ya soon...1smile1 I got the head unit and add on so I can dose 7 parts daily and it wasn't really that much around 400$ I believe...

I'd love to get an Avast to see how it compares to the Precision Marine. I'm sure that in the end, they all will work out the same.

Cal, alk, mag, vodka, mb7, strotium, potassium... That's 7 of the 9 I dose daily lol...

Haha, i'm getting close to Troy. I'm dosing kalk, mag, strontium, vodka, and mb7. Kalk is taking care of my calcium and alk.

well looks like a mix between kalk stirer and dosers would be the best combo I think.... lol I was looking at dosers also and I do dose calc,alk,mag,mb7,vitamin C, and biofuel daily and if I can get it all in one shot that would be the ticket.

go to youtube and type in mrsaltwater tank and look at the video on how he adds his kalk, i been doing it that way for awhile now and works great and saved a ton of money that i probbaly spent on corals

If you switched to dosing the Brightwell Kalk +2, then you could reduce a lot of your manual dosing. Dosing this kalk could easily eliminate calcium, magnesium, and alk. I haven't tried to yet, but will be moving to it when I run out of my current stuff.

every guy in our local club with a kalk reactor have had a crash. All i ever here is they are a ticking time bomb and once everyone thinks they have it fail safe i'll get up in the morning check my local club forum and wallah i see oh no my tanks milky white. and then see them dosing vinegar or whatever to try and get the levels.
