Im using the Tamron 90 recommend in the above thread. I ordered some lens filters, but there doesn't seem to be any thread on The Tamron Lens has anybody found filters for it ?

Ya I'm seeing different sizes depending on the mount. Mine was a Minolta/ Sony mount but its been so long I don't remember what size. I'd be surprised if it doesn't have threads because they are used to keep the lens cover in place also.

Mine had threads and all the info I see states they still do. Can you get a pic of the front of the lens?
Most lens have both the focal length mm (e.g. 55mm) and the diameter Ø (e.g. Ø72) on the front of the lens the diameter is the filter size you want.

Well well well, turns out im just a dummy you are 100 percent right. Totally threads BUT they are not 55 which for some reason I got in my head was the right size. So the filters, actually they were lens hoods I got. Which didnt make it as obvious as when I just tried puttin a actual filter on and you could see how loose and obvious it was the wrong size. There actually 58 if anyone else comes across this thread. I had some 58s and they screwed right on 🤪

Thanks again man appreciate the help.

No recommendations as i've been out of photography for quite a few years now and I was shooting Sony.
If your camera has the ability to trigger a flash off camera that can be useful and a flash that can be angled so you can bounce off a wall or ceiling is a must have for me. I used to find b&h video to be a good online retailer for photography gear and they sometimes have used stuff which can save some money.

I'm in the same boat with @exnisstech, I haven't bought any new camera gear in well over a decade but I shot mainly Canon. I also highly recommend B&H I've bought a lot of equipment, not just camera gear but also NAS and education-related (projectors, ELMOs, etc.) from them for the last fifty years or so. I've also bought two used cameras from them, a Nikkormat and a Canon, and they were both better than described. Another good online retailer is Adorama, I've bought a couple of cameras, filters, and a digital piano from them.

I also agree that the ability to slave flash (off camera) is very handy.
